MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Gary Koziol, 63, of Muscatine died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at his home. Casket bearers will be Tanner Sulzberger, Tyson Sulzberger, Tucker Sulzberger and Jake Sulzberger. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Koziol was born July 10, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Joseph and Bernice Kuscziecz Koziol. On July 27, 1963, Gary married Janice Janell in Chicago. Gary had worked at Heinz Co. for over 20 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed Harley motorcycles and working on cars, but especially loved his grandchildren and their football games. Survivors include two daughters, Karen K. Sulzberger and husband Craig and Sharon M. Canas, all of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Tanner, Tyson, Tucker, Saige, Jake and Taneia; two brothers, Kenneth Koziol and wife Darlene of Barrington, Ill. and Robert Koziol of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Barbara Charoenrath and husband Mel of Chicago, Ill.; and nieces and nephews, Dawn, David, Melissa, Kimberly, Matthew and Denise. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice, in 1995; and a grandson, Joey.
