Margaret "Marge" Peterka
June 15, 1924 - May 28, 2021

Margaret "Marge" Peterka, of Antigo, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at her home. She was 96 years old. She was born on June 15, 1924, in the Town of Peck, a daughter of John and Emma (Anstrutz) Halambeck. She married Joseph Peterka on September 25, 1948, at St. Wencel Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2013.

She was employed at Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee for eight years. In 1954 Margaret and her husband moved to the town of Peck where they farmed for 44 years, retiring in 1998.

Margaret was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva.

She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, painting, embroidery, fishing, and trips to the casino.

Survivors include a sister, Alice Servi of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is also survived by caregivers, Dave Braasch, Tami Halbesleben, Mary Hitz, Barb Rebstock, Diane Cibik, Diane Kryka, Crystal Rice, Deb Shields and Jodi Hilger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; brothers, John and Joseph; and sister, Ann Adelizzi.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church, Neva with Reverend Joel Sember officiating. Burial will take place in St. Wencel Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 1 from 5 - 7 p.m. with a parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

"I put a picture and article in the newspaper about the Peterka Tree Windbreak many years ago and started a friendship with the couple including joining Marge's bowling team. They were a Down to Earth Couple! "
