Raymond Shetler Jr. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, Henderson-Barker Funeral Home, West Liberty. Visitation: Tuesday, Jan. 2, 6-8 p.m., funeral home ATALISSA, Iowa -- Raymond "Louis" Shetler Jr., 81, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice. Mr. Shetler was born July 17, 1925, near Atalissa, the son of Raymond Louis and Alice I. McAnulty Shetler. He was a graduate of West Liberty High School. On Aug. 5, 1950, he married Dona Collison in Muscatine. He had farmed his entire life in the Atalissa and West Liberty areas. Survivors include three children: Steve (Sharon) Shetler of Atalissa, Barb Howe of Iowa City and Linda (Tom) Kaalberg of West Liberty; grandchildren Christopher (Melinda) Shetler, LeeAnn Gruchow, Shane (Jacki) Kaalberg, Kelli (Corey) Thumma and Brittny Kaalberg; four great-grandchildren Blaise and Aeron Thumma, Logan Gruchow and Caden Shetler. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dona.
