Kenneth A. Ver Beek, 73, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.
Kenneth was born February 12, 1948 to Edward and Molly (Frost) Ver Beek in Marshalltown, IA. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1966. Kenneth later on enlisted into the United States Army in 1967 and was honorable discharged in 1969. Kenneth was employed with Tama Pack working on the kill floor for 25 years until retirement. He was an avid Hawkeye fan, loved golfing, Civial War Hisitory and collected baseball cards.
Kenneth is survived by his two sons; Chris Ver Beek of Story City, IA, Allen Ver Beek of Montour, IA, one brother, Bill Otten, seven grandchildren; Samantha, Chelsea, Zachary, Arion, Cindy, Lucas, Tyler, one great-grandchild, Maya and one on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Cory Ver Beek, one sister, Melanie Morley and one brother, Edward Ver Beek.
