CLINTON, Iowa -- Dennis K. Wilhelm, 59, of Clinton, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Iowa City. The Rev. Gregory Geier will officiate. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded. A memorial fund has been established. Mr. Wilhelm was born March 22, 1947, in Preston, the son of Kenneth and Vera (Lampe) Wilhelm. He attended Miles schools and graduated from Miles High School in 1965. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1965 until 1969. He was a self-employed owner/operator truck driver for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Eagles Club in Clinton and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving, caring and devoted father. He will be dearly missed by his mother; three sons, Troy (Lori Wilson) Wilhelm of Sabula, Iowa, Chad (Heather) Wilhelm of Preston and Aaron (Candice Hagen) Wilhelm of Clinton; five grandchildren; two brothers, Durwin (Brenda) Wilhelm of Preston and Dave (Anna Kilburg) Wilhelm of Clinton; and two sisters, Dianna Shirley of Camanche, Iowa and Debbie (Duane) Johnson of Clinton. He is preceded in death by his father; and one infant brother, Mark.
