Edward Lee Fabiny
March 15, 1933 - June 5, 2021

Edward Lee Fabiny, 88, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Riverbend Assisted Living.

Ed was born March 15, 1933 in Bessemer, MI to Edward A. and Lillian (Peterson) Fabiny. After graduating from high school, Ed went on to proudly serve his country in the US Air Force. He was also an owner and operator of the local IGA grocery store. On September 13, 1972 n Menomonie, WI, Ed married Marguerite Pederson. Ed loved the Minnesota Vikings, was an avid golfer and loved spending time fishing at his home cabin in Hayward, WI. Ed was very proud of his trophy swordfish that hangs in the Hayward Freshwater Fish Hall of Fame. He and Marguerite also enjoyed spending their time together by traveling. Ed was a jokester and was one of the best storytellers.

Ed is survived by his children, Edward Fabiny and Debbie Fabiny; stepchildren, Carrie Crouley, Donald (Rochelle) Crouley, Patrick (Dana) Crouley; sisters, Judy (Dennis) Prentice and Karen Churich; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite; his daughter, Kimberly; and his stepson, Kimball Crouley.

A funeral service will be held 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of services. Anjanette Bandel will be officiating with interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
