Randall "Randy/Robby" Kent Robertson of Aurora CO died unexpectedly on January 4, 2021. Randy was born March 12, 1947 in Upland, CA the son of John Marion and Velma June (Hargis) Robertson. On September 3, 1966 he married Beverly Fern (Smith) Robertson at the Chino United Methodist Church in Chino, CA.
Randy graduated from Chino High School, Chino CA in1965 and attended Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, CA for a short time.
In October of 1967 Randy joined the Air Force and served for 24 years in the transportation career field where he worked with the movement of troops during the Vietnam and Desert Storm eras. He did his Basic Training at Lackland AFB TX and attended Tech School at Sheppard AFB TX. His career included assignments at Kimpo AFB South Korea, Mc Chord AFB, Tacoma WA, Norton AFB San Bernardino CA, Hickam AFB Honolulu HI, Norton AFB CA (again), Ramstein AFB Ramstein GE and March AFB Riverside CA. He retired from the military in 1990. After a short time, he went to work as a DoD Civilian. As a civilian, he worked in the movement of household goods etc., and served in that capacity for 17 years at March AFB CA, Lowry AFB CO, Fitzsimons Army Med Center CO and Buckley AFB CO where he retired in 2009.
Randy enjoyed friends and family, especially family reunions. He also loved the CA beaches, yardwork, cleaning and sorting, genealogy, crafts and music. He was a quiet guy but was the strength behind our family and he was always supportive of all who crossed his path.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bev, two sons Christopher John (Denise) Robertson of Rialto CA; Chad Edward Robertson (Lisa) of Aurora CO. Five grandchildren Katelyn, Jocelyn, Alex, Lindsey and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis Rex Robertson.
"A Celebration of Life" will be held at "The Land" in Aurora, CO thelandaurora.org
