Janice Louise Fedorow
August 12, 1937 - June 6, 2021

Janice Fedorow of South Beloit, IL. suffered a stroke in April and passed away 06/06/2021 at 11:05 P.M. while on vacation in Florida.

Jan was born in Chicago on August 12,1937 to John and Gertrude Stephan. She attended Waller High School in Chicago where she was a reporter for the school newspaper. Graduated class of 1955 . Jan also completed courses at Mc Henry County and Rock Valley colleges. She spent most of her working years in the IT department as a data entry operator for banks and manufacturing companies. Her last position was at the Palatine School District as the Data Processing Manager.

Jan found a love for horses in her pre-teens working at a stable in Lincoln Park. Besides maintenance tasks, she was taught to ride and eventually show horses in competition events. Later in life, her love for horses lead to breeding and training Arabian horses. She joined the NIAHAC horse club and later became the membership chair person. Jan competed in the club's sponsored horse shows and won many Championship events.

Other than horse activities she enjoyed reading and traveling to Florida, Mexico, Europe, and Africa. Africa was a trip to the great pyramids of Egypt on horse back from the Giza pyramids to the Memphis pyramids across the desert. Florida was always her favorite place.

In 1978 Jan married Paul Fedorow. Together for 43 years they lived in South Beloit, Il. for the past 20 years at their farm. In 1996 she and her husband purchased a winter home in Florida which is a nicer place to live during the Midwest cold and snow.

Her surviving children are: Andrew and Cindie Haras and Dawn Fedorow. Her surviving sisters and brother are: April, Andrea, Gale, Bruce and sister-in-law Joann.

Janice wished to be cremated and her ashes spread in her favorite Florida place.
