Bob Hendrickson
May 13, 1943 - June 5, 2021

Bob Hendrickson, of Pickerel, died Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 78 years old. He was born on May 13, 1943, in Calumet, Michigan a son of Donald and Kay (Crnkovich) Hendrickson. He married Candy Yinko on March 23, 1974, in Sheboygan. She preceded him in death on January 5, 2016.

Bob proudly served in the United States Navy predominately on ships in the Pacific arena for 4 years.

Following military service he moved to Sheboygan where he worked manufacturing Bolens Lawnmowers. He also worked with his wife at H&R Block Tax Services.

In 1994 they moved to Pickerel where they owned and operated the Firelite Restaurant and Bar. He retired in 2017.

Bob will be remembered as a great pool player, good singer of select country hits, die-hard Detroit Lions fan, and maybe most importantly...people genuinely loved the fact that he made them feel good because he knew how to have a good time.

Survivors include two daughters, Kristin Hendrickson, Chicago, Illinois, Jennifer Hendrickson, Oshkosh; a son, Joe (Lisa) Hendrickson, Budd Lake, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Kymball, Decorah, Dominic, Izzy, and Ethan; a brother, Paul Wickstrom, Calumet, Michigan; a sister, Kim Reinking, Holland, Michigan; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Hendrickson who died in WWII; his mother and step-father, Kay and Alfred Wickstrom; two brothers, Donald Hendrickson, Jr., and Joe Wickstrom.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held Friday June 18, 2021, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45 in Antigo, concluding with military honors at 4 p.m.
