Michael W. Sweeney, age 72, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at his home in Ambler, PA.
Born in Burlington, VT, he was the son of the late Warren and Patricia (nee Shortal) Sweeney.
Mr. Sweeney was a graduate of The University of Massachusetts Amherst and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Senior Business Technology Analyst, employed by Sodexo until his retirement in 2012.
Michael liked listening to music and playing guitar. He was a talented cook and baker. He had been a track coach and enjoyed playing golf. Michael was an avid reader and also a photography buff.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann (nee Ragan) in 1998. He is the dear father of Caroline Ann Sweeney of Phoenixville, and Moira E. Sweeney of Ambler. Michael is survived by his brothers Timothy W. Sweeney (Leah) of Sandown, NH and Gregory W. Sweeney of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather for Michael's funeral service at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002 on Friday evening, June 11, 2021, with visitation from 6:00 to 7:30PM and service at 7:30PM. Interment will be private.
