In loving memory of

Betty Jane Jorgensen
September 23, 1923 - June 4, 2021

Betty "Betsy" Jane Jorgensen, 97, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at River Bend in Rochester.

Betsy was born to Simeon and Mae (Hill) Fishel on September 23, 1923 in Danby, New York. She was one of five daughters and had an identical twin sister, Barb. Betsy met and fell in love with Earl Jorgensen, they later moved to Oregon then finally settling down in Rochester. Together they had two sons, Jeff and Greg. Betsy was very active with volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House here in Rochester for many years. Betsy was a great seamstress and would often sew items for friends and family as well as Samaritan Bethany in Rochester. Her brilliant sense of humor and pranks were well known by her family and friends. Many knew her as almost a second grandmother, her love for kids and helping families was something many cherished. She absolutely loved dogs and dogs would absolutely love her as well. Betsy loved her time at her cabin in Cumberland, WI where she enjoyed watching birds, gardening, and playing golf. She also liked playing pool, doing her crossword puzzles, and she was always tough to beat in ping pong.

The sound of her laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl; and sisters, Helen and Phyllis
She is survived by her two sons, Jeff Jorgensen of Fallon, NV and Greg Jorgensen of Wayzata, MN; sisters, Barb and Lillian; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will take place at the Oakwood Columbarium at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 with Pastor Paul Bauch officiating.

Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Jorgensen family; to share a special memory or condolence please visit www.ranfranzandvinefh.com
