John VandeHey
February 27, 1943 - June 10, 2021

John VandeHey, of Antigo, died on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 78 years old. John was born on February 27, 1943, in Antigo, a son of Clarence and Lorraine (Jordan) VandeHey.

He graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1961.

John served in the United States Air Force.

He was employed at Waukesha Bearings, Traditional Neon, Northern Aire, and various country clubs as a dining room manager. He also worked at Waukesha Foods and was a Pampered Chef consultant.

Mr. VandeHey enjoyed cooking.

John was a member of St. John Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir. He was a member of the Monsignor Conrad Saile Knights of Columbus Council 1002 and Assembly 1214.

Survivors include two sisters, Margaret "Maggie" Klessig of Harshaw, and Katherine Ellen (Christopher) VandeHey-Maule of Mosinee; three nephews, Richard (Bonnie) Stolzman, Robert (Dawn) Stolzman and John (friend Denise) Fischer; three nieces, Stacy (Ron) Neumann, Rebecca (Wes) Bluhm and Dawn Fischer-Packard; many great-nieces and nephews; Godchild, Kathy Augustyn, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary and Dorothy Jean VandeHey; brother-in-law, Robert Klessig; nephew, Michael Fischer and beloved dog, Gracie.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Antigo Veterans will provide military honors at the funeral home immediately following the service.
