Dwight David Moldenhauer (Smoker)
August 19, 1958 - June 18, 2021

Dwight David Moldenhauer(Smoker), 62, passed away peacefully, Friday June 18, 2021 surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Dwight was born in Harmony, MN. He lived most of his life in St Charles and lived the last decade or so in Spring Valley.

Dwight always enjoyed a good, competitive game of 500 with his parents, brothers and sisters. Dwight enjoyed working outdoors, thus owning his own lawn mowing business, Smoker's Small Engine Repair. When he wasn't mowing Dwight could often be found in his garage working on lawn mowers. Dwight also had a passion for cars and loved a good race and demolition derby.

He will be deeply missed by his long-time girlfriend Carla Mcelmury, her boys Dakota, Dustin and Zack and his dog Mini. He is survived by two sisters, Bonita(Leroy) Mundt and Lori(Joe) Schroeder. Two brothers, Robert Moldenhauer and Jim(Julie) Moldenhauer and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Cathy, his parents Joseph and Marjorie, brother Mike and sister Linda.

Dwight had made the generous decision to donate his body to science and the Mayo clinic.

Celebration of life will be held at Valley Christian Center in Spring Valley on Saturday June 26th at 11am. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service from 10-11. Valley Christian Center and Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
