MARY THOMPSON MUSCATINE, Iowa #45;- Mary H. Thompson, 83, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Carrington Place of Muscatine. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Ralph Jeambey will officiate the service. Casketbearers will be Greg Lindle, David Cooper, Dutch Dickey, Orville Esmoil, Edward Lindle, John Miller, Ralph Danner and Gary McKillip. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2007, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Reuben Thompson. Mary was born on September 21, 1923, in Muscatine, the daughter of Harold Edwin Woods Sr. and Capitola Faulhaber Woods. She married Peter 'Reuben' Thompson on January 17, 1944, Kansas City, Kansas. She was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, Reuben Thompson of Muscatine; one daughter, Pam Brown and husband, Donald, of Muscatine; two grandchildren, Laura Wehmeyer and husband, Jeff, of Muscatine, and Wendy Brunk and husband, Jason, of Cambridge; one great-grandson, Raine Wehmeyer; one great-granddaughter, Autumn Brunk; two brothers, Harold Woods Jr. and wife, Helen, of Muscatine, and Gary Woods of Rock Island, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Hal W. Woods and Clarence Woods and three sisters, Lotus Litz, Garnet Hall, and Beyrl Hank.
