MUSCATINE, Iowa - William J. Shea, 99, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Lutheran Living.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Susan Bantz will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
William was born on July 9, 1921, in Oelwein, the son of William and Clara Stahl Shea. He married Anna L. Garvin on October 28, 1942, in Muscatine.
William served in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from International Harvester in 1978. William was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards.
He is survived by his children, Joan Hayes and her husband, John, of Muscatine and Michael Shea and his wife, Randi, of New Braunfels, Texas; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
William is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna; and a daughter, Patty Van Dusen.
