Mr. George Clarence McDonell, age 78, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. He was born in Muskegon, MI on August 17, 1942 to George & Ruthanne (Gauthier) McDonell. He married the former Rosemarie Krehn. Mr. McDonell had been employed as a truck driver at Lappo Lumber for over 35 years until retiring. George enjoyed being a part of the Muskegon County Sheriff Posse for over 30 years.
SURVIVORS
Children, George (Lavonne) McDonell, Angela (Scott) Hilgeman, Cherri (Rudy) Erickson; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie (Phillip) Tissue, Peggy Ann (Joe) Cassell, Wanda Lee (Charles) Fulkerson; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rosemarie; sister, Ruth Anne.
SERVICE
Wednesday, July 21, 2021, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Rev. Carlos Ramos officiating. Interment in Sullivan Township Cemetery

"My name is George Clines. I?m George?s younger brother. Adopted at the age of 4? Original name just plain old George McDonell. No middle name According to our aunt Margie our dad didn?t have a middle name either. Anyway, I wish you kids would have made an attempt to contact me. I wasn?t mention in the obit but at least you put a picture of me with George at our Aunt Margie?s. I have other pictures of us if you?re interested in seeing them. He was always a lot of fun to be around while we were in Michigan or New Mexico. "

"Hey Bro., we talk all the time this one is hard on me, I can set here thinking, of when I as 6 to 8 years old you took your bullwhip out to use on us girls did not leave a mark on us. I think we did it to get you to use it on us haha right. When you and sis {Rosemary} show us now to ride the horse, Mom & Daddy had to get us some land so we can have our own horse too, horse show as always a lot of fun I did up till I was 52 years old we all love it,, we gone to the rodeo I was going to ride the cow{bull} you and Chuck York hear my name came a cross the speaker, and Daddy to he yelled STOP HER SHE PG ?? I did not ride it you boys got to me first got me off,,,, Hey Brother it would of been fun for me,,, I love the rides us girls did at your home too with sis I miss them alot, when mommy and us rode the horse to you place from home, you had to take us back home because mommy said NO Way she get back on that horse again, she did not ever ride again. You both as there all the time for me I am glad I as able to tell you both thanks before it was to late. You always had coffee on the stove or in the pot always open your doors to every one who came in them, you was love and will be miss by a lot of families and friends too. Big Brother RIP enjoy yourself ride again with your loving wife, talk to mom, both dad's bro. I will always miss but love you more than you ever know. your baby sister Connie Sue"
