Bruce A. deSilva, 73 of Grundy Center, IA passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital under the care of Grundy County Hospice in Grundy Center. No formal service will be held, private family graveside.
Bruce will be missed by his wife, Deb deSilva, of Grundy Center, one daughter; Melissa VanHauen, of Grundy Center, three sons; Matt Mitchell, of Grundy Center, Mark Mitchell, of State Center, IA, Matthew deSilva, of Grand Ledge, MI, eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three brothers; Brian, Brent, Bradd and one sister, Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Barbara McMartin.

"I will never forget all the quarters he gave me for gas and how he enjoyed teasing me for running out one day in high school. I will miss his smile and teasing! He was always very kind. My son is holding on to the last quarter he sent home for me. Many hugs to you and your family Deb!"
