Roy Tashnek
December 16, 1919 - July 23, 2021
Investment Builder, retired Dentist, and WWII Veteran Roy Tashnek's love of life did not come to an end with his death. He passed away on July 23, 2021 at the age of 101 ½ after bouts with melanoma and heart failure. His legacy of inspiring others and leaving strip centers and commercial warehouses in the Houston area is a testament to his great passion for building. His heart left a beacon of light for his family, friends, and community.
"Doc" as he was known was preceded in death by his wife Idelle Susholtz Tashnek who passed away on August 4, 2001. He is survived by his children Julianne Bartlein and her husband Sanford Elstein, Nanette Tashnek, Warren Tashnek and by his grandson Jason Bartlein and great grandson Jackson Bartlein; along with nieces and nephews.
Roy Tashnek will be honored at a graveside service on Tuesday July 27, 2021 at 2:30 pm at Beth Israel Memorial Garden 1101 Antoine Dr. Houston, 77055.
We are deeply grateful to Dr. Oscar Rosales, Dr. Stephen Lapin, and Dr. Paul Salmonsen for their expert and continued care that supported Roy in sustaining a quality of life for such a long time.
