"This note of condolence is difficult to write: I never met Pat, nor do I know any of her family. However, just a few months ago, when I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, a dear friend of mine and a friend of Pat, related our family's situation to her, and since then has assured me many times that Pat was praying for our family and offering some of her many sufferings to God on our our behalf. I cannot express what a consolation it has been to us that a complete stranger would send such suffering love and prayers our way! We also have tried to return that love by praying for her and her family, and will continue our prayers for all of you. As I look at these pictures online, Pat's face and her family are all unknown and unfamiliar to me, but I am confident in God's Plan and His Love shown through Pat's generous heart....may we all one day be happily united as eternal friends in heaven! "Pat became my friend over the last 6 1/2 years by participating in the Volunteer For Dental program. She agreed to be part of a photo shoot for the program in 2017 (picture posted under photos). I was so impressed with her work ethic and faith! We bonded over the phone which included prayer. She often emailed me beautiful prayers and novena's. She talked so highly of her family and how much she loved her siblings, children and grandchildren. She was a beautiful person who loved giving back to the community and who will be missed by many. "Aunt Pat, your love, prayers, and red lipstick kisses will be missed. I wish I had saved all of your letters over the years. You had a true gift for making the everyday ordinary extraordinary and funny. I will miss your quick wit and humor. With a little more opportunity, you could have been a stand-up comic or a better version of Martha Stewart. Your cooking and desserts were always the BEST! We always kept in touch throughout the years even though I had to move to Arizona at 4-years-old. The times I spent with you are treasured memories. You always took my side against my mother and told her to love me - thank you! You let me sleep all day when I arrived to visit from grad school completely exhausted - even though we hadn't seen each other in years. I know you loved your children dearly. Kateri, Andy, and Jacob brought you so much joy. Honestly, I got a little tired of hearing you brag about them all the time - just kidding - but I want John and Bernadette to know how much you loved them and your grand kids. I am sorry I was not there in Michigan to say good-bye in person, but I know you know how much I love you. My angel was always there holding your hand. You are/were such an incredibly strong and hard-working woman.
