In loving memory of

Luverne "Codey" Kothenbeutel
January 9, 1931 - August 6, 2021

Codey passed away on August 6, 2021 with his wife, Belva and daughter, Joann by his side.

Codey was a great family man, a wonderful husband, dad, father-in-law, grandpa, and great-grandpa.

Codey married the love of his life Belva Geise and the two of them celebrated 70 years together. They loved to square dance, as they met so many friends and made great memories. Codey and Belva had two daughters; Ladonne Kothenbeutel and Jo Ann Keefe.

Codey bought Rochester City Delivery from his father and operated it for over 50 years until he sold it to his Grandsons Kasey and Mickey Keefe. Codey was also recognized as being a past president of the Olmsted County fair.

Spending time with his family was his true happiness. He loved going to, as well as coaching his Grandsons hockey games and watching his great-grandchildren in whatever activity they were involved in. Codeys infectious laugh, his always taking the time to make sure his family was ok, and his van that his great-grandchildren called the "Beetle Bus" will all be deeply missed.

Codey is survived by his wife Belva; his daughters, Ladonne and Jo Ann (Irv) Keefe; Grandson's, Kasey (Karlyn) Keefe and Mickey (Samantha) Keefe and great-grandchildren Rylie, Jaxson, Easton, Chloe and Finn. He is preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Bessie and a sister, Naomi.

The Family would like to thank Cottagewood and the wonderful staff and Moments Hospice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and also one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
