Barbara Panchak, 62, a lifelong resident of Kingston, New York, passed peacefully at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck, on August 14, 2021. She was born October 23, 1958 in Kingston, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Shekus) Straub. Barbara worked for Kingston City School District for many years, retiring as a computer teacher in 2018.
She is survived by her daughter, Katie Panchak, and Katie's fiancé Adam Mohn of North Carolina. She is also survived by siblings, Jack (Liz) Straub, Bruce Straub, Judy (Larry) Snyder, and Susan Crounse. She also leaves daughter in law, Kristina Hagen, grandson, Jacob Panchak, granddaughter, Josie Mohn, and another granddaughter Mohn due in September.
Barbara is also lovingly remembered by eight nieces and nephews and twelve great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Ryan Panchak, who passed away in 2010, and a sister.
Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Saturday December 4, 2021 from 1pm to 3pm with the funeral service taking place at 3pm.
