MUSCATINE, Iowa - Edna L. Roth, 94, of Muscatine, passed away from natural causes, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus.
Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m., on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus. Online condolences may be made at www.wittichfuneralhome.com.
Edna was born on August 15, 1927, in Weldon, Iowa, the daughter of, Robert and Clara Fisher Dykes. She married Chester Leum on October 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1959. She later married George H. Roth on October 1, 1966. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2020.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, and helping others. Edna worked for the Muscatine School system as a cook and baker from 1959 until she retired in 1989. She was passionate about her faith and enjoyed working with the AWANA Youth Group for over 30 years. Her faith was also shown by many activities she was a part of at Hillcrest Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Enda is survived by five children, Linda Leum Hesseltine of Pueblo, Colorado, Carol Lewandowski and husband, John, of Bettendorf, Pamela Roth Slovack of Bettendorf, Roger Wm. Roth of Muscatine, and Melodie Borgrud of Newark, Ohio; four grandchildren, Charity Harmon (Jim Kress) of Muscatine, Matthew Slovack and wife, Candice, of Colona, Illinois, Marie Slovack Copenhaver, and Kellie Borgrud, of all Fargo, North Dakota; and three great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sisters; and one brother.
