DELLA JO RICKLEFS MUSCATINE, Iowa - Della Jo Ricklefs, 66, of Muscatine, died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Unity Hospital. Funeral Service will be 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Dean Anderson will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Bill Ricklefs, Larry Wolff, Bonnie Wolff, Bernard Mack, Larry Whitty, and Terry Eagle. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Muscular Dystrophy or the Berean Bible Society. Della was born on August 2, 1942, in Muscatine, the daughter of Max and Betty Jean Dieckmann Brewer. She married Donald E. Ricklefs on December 31, 1961 in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2007. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. Della enjoyed her family and friends and baking. She also enjoyed telling everybody about the Lord. Survivors include her son, Doug Ricklefs of Muscatine; her mother Betty Brewer of Muscatine; one sister, Marjean Smith of Phoenix, Arizona; two nieces, Natalie Bartenhagen of Tempe, Arizona, and Valery Smith of Mesa, Arizona; and one great-nephew, Hunter Miskey of Mesa Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
