Mrs Vonia Jean Rennells, age 97, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was born in Grand Haven, MI on February 26, 1924 to Joseph & Ruby (Lowe) Strait and married John Rennells on November 17, 1942. Mrs. Rennells had been owner & operator with her husband of Million Dollar View Resort & then went to work in a nursing home as a cook. Vonia was a member of Fruitport Congregational Church, bowling club, sweater club & drama Club. She enjoyed knitting, crochet & spending time with her family.

3 sons, Robert (Connie) Rennells, Kent Rennells & Bart (Judy) Rennells; 2 daughters, Patricia (Russell) Stressman & Cheryl TenEyck; 23 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; 2 sisters-in-law, Rose Strait & Shirley (Rennells) Baker; many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, John Rennells in 1995; 2 sons, John Rennells Jr. & David Rennells; 1 daughter, Karen Smith; 2 sons-in-law, Bradley Smith and Richard TenEyck; brothers, Joseph & Jack Strait; sisters, Irene Peterson & Dorthea Chaffee; 1/2 brothers, Arlie & George Carrier; adopted sister's , Ervina & Madge Carrier.
SERVICE
Saturday, September 25, 2021, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at at Fruitport Congregational Church with Pastor Terry Turner officiating. Interment in Fruitport Cemetery.
