Nancy Kay Weber was born October 4, 1962, and was welcomed home by Clarence and Doris (Leland) Ness. She grew up in Huxley, Iowa, where she graduated from Ballard High School in 1981, then earned her associate degree at DMACC.

In 1986, Nancy was married to Jeff Braland in Huxley. The couple was blessed with four children, Tyler, Nick, Lyndsey and Logan. Nancy and Jeff raised their family in Ames, Iowa, where Nancy provided in-home daycare for countless families over the course of many years.

In 2002, she married Brian Weber and was blessed with a daughter, Maddie. Nancy made her home in Ankeny in 2012, and again provided childcare in her home. She also worked part-time at Edencrest at Siena Hills. The bonds she forged with the many families she served brought much joy into her life.

Nancy loved the company of her family. Her most cherished moments were found in everyday life, making memories with her parents, children and grandchildren. Her favorite things included shopping, playing with her three dogs, friendships, spending time outdoors, and making her house a home, especially during the holidays.

Survivors include her four children, Tyler (Ashlee) Braland of Ames, Nick Braland and fiancée Andrea Stern of Ames, Lyndsey (Chase) Haselhoff of Ames, and Maddie Weber of Ankeny; two grandchildren, Brynna and Brooks Braland; a brother, Alan (Carla) Ness of Marion; three nephews and their families, Josh (Liza) Ness, Justin (Christy) Ness, and Jordan Ness; as well as other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Logan Braland; and her parents, Clarence and Doris Ness.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with Nancy's final arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the family of Nancy Weber.
