Dolores Froland
March 22, 1929 - September 23, 2021

On September 23, 2021, Dolores M. Froland passed away at the age of 92. Dolores was born on March 22, 1929 in Milwaukee, to Harry and Lucille Dake. She married Elroy H. Froland on June 15, 1946 in Elcho where they raised their three children, David, Bonnie and Jeanette.
Dolores was the Clerk for the town of Elcho for 34 years which she loved as she was able to build lifelong friendships and socialize within her community. Dolores was very proud to be a lifetime member of the Noetzelman-Boodry Post America Legion Post 377, Auxiliary and held many official offices during her 75 year membership. Dolores crocheted 200 full sized afghans and donated all of them to the veterans home in King. Dolores was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Elcho and the Ladies Aid.
Dolores loved spending time with her two sisters, Mildred Parise and Beatrice Goerke having lunch at Konnie K's, playing bingo at Mole Lake or playing cards. Dolores enjoyed the game of Yahtzee and people teased her about having a horseshoe because she was a very lucky lady!
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Flannery-Keyes (James) and her two children Melissa Flannery and Kenneth (Sarah) Flannery; a daughter-in-law Bridget Froland (David-deceased) and their three children Benjamin (Christina) Froland, Aaron Froland and special friend Jenny, Amber (Fred) Many; a grandson Michael Fritz, son of Jeanette and Ronald Fritz (both deceseased); one brother, Donald Dake (Maxine) of Florida. Dolores had 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; extended family - stepchildren, Jennifer, Jessica and Joanna and their families.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Elroy in 2003; her daughter Jeanette (Ronald) Fritz; a son David; siblings, James Dake, Mildred Parise, and Beatrice Goerke.
Dolores moved to Sheboygan to be closer to her daughter in 2019 and entered assisted living. She entered into Sheboygan Health Care in May of 2021 where she passed with the help of Sharon Richardson Hospice Care.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their great care given to Dolores in Elcho and Sheboygan. A special thank you to Brenda and Gary Goerke for all of their help in assisting Dolores in keeping her independent in her home prior to assisted living. Thank you to Marty Reynolds for helping to maintain her home. A special thank you to Jessica Keyes for pampering Dolores with manicures and haircare.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 11 a.m. St Luke Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Radke officiating. Burial will follow at Elcho Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Elroy.
Visitation will be on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dolores's honor will be given to St. Luke's Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Elcho.
Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
