"To the family of Dennis Hayden:     Sorry to hear Dennis Hayden had passed away. He was the very first mechanic I had, and he would walk in and buy coffee and donuts at the grocery store I used to work at 30-35 years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you."

"We are from Le Roy. My maiden name was Smith.  We are so sorry for your loss.  May all your good memories help you.  Cedric got to know Dennis at the gas station. God bless."

Gayle Snyder wrote on Oct 12, 2015:

"I can not tell you how well-respected by his colleagues and the students of Jefferson Elementary School Denny was. The affection he held for the students in particular was unwavering. He was always willing to go out of his way to help a child open a stuck locker, reach something high on a shelf, comfort a frustrated student or just engage in conversation with them. His calm and loving demeanor extended to his co-workers. I never saw him angry or sad. He was never in too much of a hurry to stop and chat and his sense of humor was so engaging. He was knowledgable in many areas and was, himself, a teacher in that regard. There are certain people who " leave footprints on your heart " and Denny was one of those. If making a difference in peoples' lives make a successful life, Denny lived one. He will be missed but remembered by so many, many people."

Marcia Jorgensen wrote on Oct 10, 2015:

"My sincere sympathy to you and your family. I worked with Denny at Jefferson, and he was so generous, kind, and always had a smile on his face. He was a friend to all- children and adults. The world is a better place because of Denny."
