"Mouse...Please accept my condolences at the passing of your father. In addition to being a very nice man, he was an icon in Muscatine sports, and the history of sports in our town. Growing up in Muscatine in the 60's and 70's, it seemed like I must have attended a million sporting events, and he was always there ( along with the family.)I know he will be sorely missed by your family, but you can be proud of his legacy and the goodness he passed on to his children. He was always a class act, and so are his children. Take care...Dan"

James Rigler wrote on Jan 26, 2010:

"MouseyCat & Randleman Family, Just read Danny Smith's remarks and he nailed it - your Dad was always there for all of us growing up in Muscatine with you guys. Loved his scrapbooks and his arrowheads. Got to admit it was always fun to see him at the First Presby Church when the Rigler clan would try to slip in late - he'd always have a joke about the game and then march us right down to the front row, he wouldn't think about sitting us in the back pew, with a big smile on his face and a wink. I look forward to raising a beer with you soon to honor one of the great characters of RiverCity. He and Calkins made listening to sports one heck of a good time. Now there was a pair. . . Gail and I send our best your way. . ."
