LAVERN 'GOOSE' R. LIPPELGOES
MUSCATINE, Iowa - LaVern R. Lippelgoes, 81, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Trinity Rock Island.

LaVern was born on May 22, 1940, in Muscatine, the son of Ralph L. and Nellie G. Bridge Lippelgoes. He married the love of his life, Virginia Clark on June 23, 1963, at Grace Lutheran in Muscatine
Goose retired from HON after 36 years. After retiring, he enjoyed going out for coffee with the guys. Goose loved spending time with his family, riding his John Deere, working in the garage, and going for rides in the evenings.
He was so proud of his 1963 Pontiac Catalina show car, which was purchased the year LaVern and Virginia were married and won many trophies over the years at car shows.
Goose is survived by his wife, Virginia Lippelgoes of Muscatine; two sons, Rodney W. Lippelgoes and Kim, and Randy W. Lippelgoes and wife, Traci, both of Muscatine; four grandchildren, Molli Torres and husband, Andy, Keegan Lippelgoes, Gavin Lippelgoes and Kammi Anderson, and Mavrik Lippelgoes; one great grandson, Oakley; one sister, Judie Nealson and husband, Dave, of Monticello; brother-in-law, Craig Clark and wife, Chris, of DeLand, Florida; sister-in-law, Sandra Bero and husband, Floyd, of Coleville, California; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Donald L. Clark Jr.
