Mr. Robert Byron Nelson, age 92, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021. He was born in Muskegon, MI on March 23, 1929 to Robert & Agnes (Larson) Nelson and served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He married the former Lora M. "Mac" Hadley on July 8, 1950. Mr. Nelson had been employed at Shaw Walker. He worked in the mail room and after 40 years retired as Vice President of Manufacturing. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, carving, blacksmithing and spending time with his family.

children, Pat (Marty) Greene, Bruce (Joy) Nelson & Paula (Bill) Davidson; grandchildren, Stacie (Peter) Golaszewski of GA, Christy (Stefan) Schachtell of WA, Kim (Roy) Deadman of London, England, Kate Durbin of VA, Kara (Andrew) Roman of Grand Rapids, Olivia Davidson of Chicago; great grandchildren, Jack & Ford Golaszewski, Ohtli Schachtell, Freya Deadman, Atlas Durbin & Octavia Schachtell; siblings, Ray (Barb) Nelson, David (Ruthann) Nelson, Linda (Jim) Brigham & Carl (Marion) Nelson; cousin, Ken (Jeanie) Larson; many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Lora "Mac" Nelson on March 3, 2020, brothers, Duane Nelson, Gerald Nelson & Bill Kamen.
