Patrick J. Verhasselt, of Manitowoc, died Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. He was 73 years old. He was born on October 6, 1948, in Antigo, a son of Joseph and Alice (Berendsen) Verhasselt.
Patrick attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School in Phlox and was a graduate of Antigo High School with the class of 1968.
In 1974 he moved to Manitowoc and was employed as a stock checker for Fisher-Hamilton Inc. for many years.
Pat enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, planting flowers and gardening and taking care of his house and back yard.
Survivors include three sisters, Therese Noskowiak of Appleton, Agnes Verhasselt and Verene Ferrona both of San Matao, CA; two brothers, Gerald Verhasselt of Pebble Beach, CA and Robert (Magdelena) Verhasselt of Bonney Lake, WA; and two sisters-in- law, Bernice Verhasselt of DePere and Jane Verhasselt of Golden, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rev. Richard, William and James; two sisters, Valeria Hecker and Ruth Verhasselt; and two brothers-in-law, Jerome Hecker and Gerald Noskowiak.
A funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 18 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church in Phlox, WI. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Phlox, WI
