Betty Spickler, a longtime resident of Wimberley, TX passed away October 11, 2021 at an assisted living community in Allen, TX. Betty was born in Windsor, Pennsylvania in 1926 and attended school in Red Lion, PA. She met her husband Pat at a dance and was married for 66 years. Throughout her life she worked as a secretary, elementary school cafeteria cook, soup specialist at a restaurant and above all as a mother. When Pat retired, they both worked as sextants at a Lutheran church in San Antonio. They designed and built a home in the Woodcreek community in the Texas hill country as a retirement home. After moving to Wimberley, Betty was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection and was always doing charitable work. Betty and Pat loved to travel. Crisscrossing the country first camping in tents and later in various sizes of trailers. They also enjoyed international travel and ocean cruising. She is survived by children Jeff, Donna, Gregg and Kathy, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. At 94, Betty had a long and full life.
