Robert Gene Hawkins
Canton- Robert G. Hawkins, 65, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Richard Owens Home in Peoria.
He was born on February 11, 1956 at the Scotts Air Force Base to Raymond and Helen (Hamilton) Hawkins. They preceded him in death.
He married Rebecca "Becca" Walraven on December 31, 1999 in Woodstock, IL. She survives.
Also surviving is one son Robert Jacob Hawkins of Everett, WA, three bonus daughters, Amy (Dave) Carzoli of Woodstock, Brooke Thurau of Canton, Heather (Joseph) Vandermeir of Cary, IL, one brother, Donald Hawkins of CO, two sisters, Sandy (the late Jack) Tye of Scottsdale, AZ, Linda Hawkins of Roy, WA and his grandchildren, Danny Ray Hawkins, Shea (Alexa) Carzoli, Christopher Carzoli, Isabel (Eric Moran) Vandermeir, Alexis Vandermeir and Joey Vandermeir.
Bob retired as a utility locator. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycling, football, baseball and cooking. He also served in the U.S. Army.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services.
Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton has been entrusted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the OSF Richard Owens Home.
