Keith Weston Skidmore
June 29, 1937 - October 17, 2021

Keith Weston Skidmore, of Pearson, died Sunday, October 17, 2021, at his home under the care of his loving wife and three daughters. He was 84 years old. He was born on June 29, 1937, in Pearson, a son of the late Russell and Sarah "Sadie" (Clark) Skidmore. He married Nancy Radtke on October 2, 1959 in Antigo.

Keith attended grade school in Pearson and was a graduate of Elcho High School.

He was a Korean War-era veteran having served in the United States Army from January 12, 1955 to January 5, 1958.

He was a member of Leland Tollefson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2653, the Paul Marmes Disabled American Veterans Chapter 23, the Pickerel Pearson Lions Club and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting trap, golf, spending time at his cabin, pool league and dancing. He will be remembered as a grill master and local baseball legend to family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Nancy; three daughters, Lynn Garner-Robbins of Madison, Kelly Skidmore of Pearson and Katherine "Kitty" (Ted) Kennedy of Lakeland, FL; six grandchildren, Keith (Samantha) Garner, Capt. Lila (fiancé Keith Helminen) Garner, Sarah (Phil) Hudnall, Ryann (Luke) Koett, Freeman Cooper and Joshua (Stephanie) Kleinhuizen; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Garth Skidmore, Harland Skidmore and Forrest Skidmore; and three sisters, Cecelia Grams, June Bauknecht and Verean Maleug.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Pickerel with Reverend David Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, November 27 at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Antigo veterans will provide Military Honors immediately following the Mass at the church.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation for everyone's support, sympathy, and shared memories at the visitation and funeral. We have been comforted by your many phone calls, flowers, cards, and donations. We would especially like to thank the Madison Veterans Hospital, LeRoyer Hospice, Bradley's Funeral Home, St. Mary Catholic Church, and the Antigo American Legion for their service, guidance, and caring arrangements. You all did a wonderful job nurturing and honoring Keith's life, his memory will never be forgotten and we are forever grateful.
