Virginia "Mardene" Tidwell

Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Mardene Tidwell, 79 returned home to our Father in Heaven peacefully with her Son and daughter in law by her side on October 30, 2021at Willow Glen Health and Rehabilitation in Brigham City, Utah.

Mardene was born April 27, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah a daughter of Daniel and Ila Tidwell. Some of her fondest memories was working on the farm. As kids we have memories of her gardening and planting flowers, she loved the outdoors. She loved the color purple everything was purple didn't matter the shade, she loved purple, She loved phone calls and visits from friends and family, playing Phase 10 with her grandchildren and their friends, pinochle, pedicures and manicures, puzzle building, reading, coloring, playing Bingo, watching Basketball, munching on candy and in her later years she loved watching birds from her bedroom window. Most of all, she wanted her kids, grandkids and great grandkids to know she loved them all.

Mardene is survived by her brother Eugene Tidwell, sister Halene Fisher, Brother in law Jerry Fisher, daughter Camille Astle, son in law Kelly Astle, son Tony Gibb, daughter in law KC Gibb, daughter in law Cindy Blackburn Gibb, previous husband Donald Gibb.9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, her sister Shirley Ann Tidwell, brother Jack Tidwell, sister Wilma Tidwell and son Bruce Gibb.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Glen for caring, watching over and loving our Mom.
A viewing will be held on Monday November 8, 2021 from 11:00-11:45 am at Gillies Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow at noon also at the funeral home.

Mom, Knowing that you have returned home to our Father in Heaven and are in a much better place. It gives us a great deal of peace knowing that you are happy, whole, pain free and spending time with Grandma, Grandpa, and our brother Bruce.
