Joseph Visconti
September 30, 1930 - November 5, 2021

Joseph M. Visconti, 91, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Venice, Florida.

Joe was born September 30, 1930 in Syracuse, the son of Samuel and Agnes Davidson Visconti. He lived in Syracuse through his child and adulthood and founded the Visconti Corporation, a general construction company that built or renovated many significant projects in upstate New York including: Tecumseh Elementary School, Wetzel Road Elementary School, Soule Road Elementary School, Onondaga Count Hazard Branch Library, St. Joseph' Church in Camillus, Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville, a few buildings at Fort Drum, and the ice-skating arena at Lake Placid for the 1980 Winter Olympics just to name a few.

Joe loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially in retirement. Joe was a devout roman catholic and attended church every day in retirement. He also loved to sing and for years sang for the funeral choir at the Epiphany Cathedral in Venice Florida.

He is survived by his children Anne R. Biagianti and her husband Joseph, Joseph M. Visconti Jr. and his wife Christine, Andrew J. Visconti and his wife Kim, Paul A. Visconti, Edward B. Visconti and his wife Joyce, Mark S. Visconti, Margaret A. Visconti, Ellen B. Olson, Maria T. Cimilluca and her husband Sam, and Peter J. Visconti and his wife Heather, and 17 grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his brother John Visconti, a sister Mary Szczech , 2 half brothers Jerry Visconti and Wayne Visconti, 2 half sisters Cathy Deline and Jo Marie Visconti. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Leo, and sons Robert Edward and Robert Bernard.
