Heath Wade Johnson, 42, of Hampton passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

Heath was born October 31, 1979, in Hampton, to parents Hector Munoz and Carol Johnson. He worked at Miller Concrete in Hampton for a number of years. More recently he had been helping his brother out at the AmericInn.

Live concerts and fishing were two of Heath's passions. He loved rock, especially heavy metal. Earlier this year he went with his brother Jeremiah and best friends Rogie and Justin to Knotfest and claimed it was the best show he had ever seen. Heath also loved spending time with his friends and family. Heath loved cruising the loop around with his daughter Amiya. There wasn't a day they weren't together.

Later in life Heath became an ordained minister. He married many of his friends, some as recently as a few months ago. He will be missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Heath is survived by his daughters, Amiya (Dajon Richard) Johnson of Hampton, Keely Johnson of Bondurant, and Makayla Newman of Hampton; mother, Carol Johnson of Hampton; siblings, Jeremiah Johnson of Hampton, Monica (Justin) Berning of Cedar Falls, Joe Munoz of Missouri, Hector Munoz of Clear Lake, and Lupe Munoz of Clear Lake; nieces and nephews, Caleb, Chimiara, Berklei, and Sullivyn Johnson, and Lincoln and Kamden Berning; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Haylee Hanson and both his paternal and maternal grandparents.
