Florence M. Howling, 60 died Tuesday, September 18, at her Home in Ambler.

Born in Abington, PA., she was the daughter of Mary E. (nee Oesterle) May of Southampton, PA. and the late Francis May.

She had published one novel titled The Shaman's Apprentice by Florence Mee and completed two others, all of which had themes around ancient wisdom and which incorporated her shamanic experiences. She also taught those themes to small groups in the area.

She is survived by her Husband Robert T. Howling of Ambler, PA, her daughters Coleen Wipplinger of Buckingham, PA, Sandra Jean Fell of Lower Gwynedd, PA, Kaitlyn M. Howling of Lower Gwynedd, PA. and her son Daniel J. Howling of Lower Gwynedd, PA. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and her sister Donna Broadbent of Horsham, PA. and her brother Frank Mee of Perkasie, PA.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday September 22, 2007 from 1:00 to 1:30 PM at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 S. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler.
