Barbara (McCall) Carlsen, age 83, of Ames, Iowa passed away at Mary Greeley Medical Center on November 14, 2021. A private graveside funeral service will be held at Oakhill Cemetery, rural Bristow, Iowa.
Barbara was born on January 13, 1938, in Boone, Iowa. On February 14, 1958, she married Frank Carlsen in Boone at the Baptist Church. To that union one son, Frankie, was born.
Barb lived most all of her life in the Boone and Ames area and was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church in Boone. She was a homemaker, and devoted wife and mother, and she especially took great joy in watching her son grow in every phase of his life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank and their son Frankie.
