LaVern L. Jarnagin, age 55, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.
Burial will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be expressed online at www.amesmonument.com.
LaVern was born July 22, 1966, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of LaVern Smith and Annabell Jarnagin. He grew up in Nevada, Iowa, where he received his education and graduated from Ames High School in the class of 1988. LaVern enjoyed riding his moped, bowling, and many outdoor activities.
He is survived by his mother, Annabell Mayo of Herington, KS as well as other extended family members and friends.
Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of LaVern and his family.
