John William "Jack" Tronoski

John William "Jack" Tronoski, 79 of Maple Glen died Monday, December 28, 2009 at his son's home in Morgantown, PA.

Born in Mount Carmel, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Loretta C. (nee Williams) Tronoski. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eileen (nee Cox) Tronoski in 1979.

He starred in football at Mount Carmel Catholic High and played football at Fordham University where he graduated in 1952. Jack served in the US Marine Corps and was Honorably discharged in 1962 as a First Lieutenant. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and attended Mass daily.

Mr. Tronoski was a Computer Programmer employed by Sperry Univac and then Unisys for 40 years until he retired in 2001.

He is survived by his devoted sons John W. Tronoski and wife Sandra of Morgantown, William J. Tronoski and wife Anastasia of Long Valley, NJ, and Michael E. Tronoski and wife Megan of Blue Bell. He is also survived by 7 loving granddaughters Emilie, Hannah, Caitryn, Callista, Madeline, Grace and Brenna and a sister Virgil Curley of Phoenixville. He also leaves behind his Newfoundland Nell.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 30th and 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday at St. Alphonsus Church 33 Conwell Dr. Maple Glen, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM by Rev. Stephen A. Moerman. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

Remembrances in his name to The Animal Fund at Spring House Animal Hospital, 617 North Bethlehem Pike Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002 would be appreciated by the family.
