Jodie Lynn Schweinebart, 50, of Baxter, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the EveryStep Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at the Baxter Congregational Church in Baxter, Iowa. Immediately following the visitation, her memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Pastor Jacob Rahrig officiating. A private family burial will be held in Restland Cemetery in Baxter, Iowa.

Jodie was born in Newton, Iowa on January 27, 1971, to Ronald and Marlene (Sabin) Schweinebart. She grew up in Baxter where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1990. She earned her CNA and worked as a CNA at the Baxter Healthcare Center and Accura Healthcare. Jodie was a member of the Baxter Congregational Church and the National Association of Healthcare Assistants. Jodie's family was her life and she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed reading, playing games, puzzles, having her nails painted, shopping, and firmly believed she could never have enough shoes.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her life partner Michael Wells of Baxter; children Jordan (Ashtin) Wells of Newton, Jake Wells of Burlington, Devin Wells of Newton, Dominic Wells of Baxter, and Colby Wells of Baxter; grandchildren Xavier Wells and Elliott Leavens-Wells; mother Marlene Schweinebart of Baxter; brother Roy Schweinebart of Marshalltown; sister Wendy (Brian) Beal of Urbandale; niece Madalyn Schweinebart; nephews Josh Schweinebart, Collin Schweinebart, Dakota Dawson, and Zayne Beal; Michael's mother Vicki Wells; many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Schweinebart and her grandparents.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care in Baxter has been entrusted with the care of Jodie and her family.
