Mary Alice D'Amato
September 28, 1964 - November 28, 2021

Mary Alice D'Amato, of Deerbrook, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 57 years old. She was born on September 28, 1964, in Milwaukee, a daughter of Gabriel and Elizabeth (Bickler) D'Amato.

Mary married Donnie Henley in 1994, he preceded her in death in 1998. She later married James Wilhelm and the couple later divorced. She was engaged to be married to Kenneth Steinfest.

Mary was a mail carrier for 27 years, first in Milwaukee and then in Antigo. She moved to Antigo in 2000.

She had great compassion for animals and flower gardening. Mary had a big heart, was known for her generosity, and enjoyed being a volunteer for LeRoyer Hospice. She was very energetic, a hard worker and will be remembered for her laugh.

Survivors include her son, Donnie Henley, II of Antigo; a brother, Robin (Lynn) D'Amato of White Lake; fiancé, Kenneth Steinfest of Deerbrook; nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael D'Amato.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church with Reverend Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

"My cousin Mary Alice was one of the sweetest women I have ever known. She drove 5 hours to my mom, Auntie Dolly's, t funeral and then drove 5 hours back because she worked the next day.
