John L Radcliffe
August 19, 1937 - June 30, 2011

John L. Radcliffe, of Bryant, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at home with his best friends, Rocket and Ernie at his side. He was 73 years old. He was born on August 19, 1937 in Melrose a son of the late Wayne and Mildred (Larkin) Radcliffe. He married Gail Weston on June 9, 1962 at Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2011.

He was a 1955 graduate of Black River Falls High School. He was a machinist in Milwaukee and a miner in Upper Michigan, moving to Bryant in 2005.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include five daughters, Gail (Alan) Whitegull, Black River Falls, Cindy Goronja, Weston, Dulcene (Jon) During, Alma Center, Ann (Jesse) Ceballos, Mass City, MI and Julie Oppelt of Bryant; two sons Kevin Gilbertson, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands and William Radcliffe, Milwaukee; twenty five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Judy) Radcliffe, Black River Falls, Loren (Mary Jo) Radcliffe, Black River Falls and Gene (Kelly) Radcliffe of Eau Claire; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Radcliffe, Watertown.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by three sons, Brad Gilbertson, Todd Gilbertson and Charlie Spoor; a grandson, Nicholas Radcliffe; and a brother, Ronald Radcliffe.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack LaMar officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
