Charles P. Lauters
June 23, 1923 - July 7, 2011

Charles P. Lauters, of Pickerel, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Langlade Hospital. He was 88 years old. He was born on June 23, 1923 in Port Washington, a son of the late Charles C. and Elizabeth (Egerer) Lauters. He married Stella Rausch on October 4, 1945 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Saukville. She survives.

He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He owned and operated Lauters Silo Construction and Lauters Sales and Service in Grafton moving to Pickerel in 1981.

In addition to his wife survivors include a daughter, Deborah (Greg) Tannel, Riffle, CO; four sons, Charles L. (Yuhae) Lauters, Appleton, Gary (Kathy) Lauters, Newburg, Mike (Shelly) Lauters, Pickerel and Scott (Holly) Lauters, Saukville; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Bertram, Grafton and Carol Capple, Elkhorn; and a brother, Donald Lauters, Hains City, FL.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pickerel with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pickerel. Visitation will be 9:30 am - 11:00 am on Monday at the church.
