"Some of my fondest childhood memories are of spending time at my nana?s. Searching for lady bugs she hid in the house for me to find, playing video games on her TV, swimming in the pool in her backyard, having easter egg hunts on easter, and especially going to her house every christmas. She absolutely loved Christmas and always made it so magical for me and my brother when we were little, she spoiled us so much. Christmas will never be the same without her. I always thought the vintage things she had in her house were so fun. My brother and I were obsessed with this old him all machine that she had in her kitchen. She was the most fun and loving lady, and she loved being a grandma. She always let me and my brother know how much she loved us, and we loved her too. We?re going to miss her so much. Love you Nana -Petey"

Mike Witte wrote on Jan 4, 2022:

"I am saddened at hearing this news of Linda?s passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to Chad and his family and to Roger and Bill and their families. We lived across the street from Linda, Clara, Woody, and the boys for 10 years. She was ? one of the guys?, part of what one of the neighbors called the West End gang which included Greg Lindle, Mike Lazio, Jimmy Luedtka. Linda and I shared a birthday and I last spoke with her in October, 2020. I called her on her BD last October and didn?t make the connection that time, regrettably. She was a great help to our family by helping take care of my younger sisters after my mother died. I renewed my friendship with her years after me moved from town when I attended the U of Iowa. Mike Furlong and I were on a flag football team called ?The Furlongs? and we came in second place in the 180 team all University tournament and, boy, did we celebrate, including Baby Chad at the time. Linda had an infectious laugh and a winning smile. My birthday next year will not feel quite the same. Despite her death, thoughts of her will always bring a smile to my face. God rest her soul. Mike Witte"

"Chad and Family, Linda and I were classmates for 13 years from kindergarten until graduation from Hayes in 1967. Linda and my wife Loretta looked so much alike that the nuns often comfused the two of them at Hayes. So many wonderful memories of her. She was a HUGE part of our lives. We would often sit on the steps in front of her house after the guys had played football, baseball or basketball across the street and talk for hours...until the street lights came on and I had to peddle my bike as fast as I could back home. Please know that we loved her and will miss her. Our sympathies!"

Mike Lazio wrote on Jan 4, 2022:

"To Chad and the rest of the Fletcher and Furlong family Linda and I were always pushing the boundaries of what we could get away with from taking shopping excursions between classes to ?borrowing? her neighbor?s motorcycle and learning how to drive it as we went around town It was making our own fun and we sure had some adventures along the way Her quick wit and charm kept us safe from the authorities?at school as well as at home She came on a surprise visit to SF and yelled my name out as she entered my place of work, I knew right away it was her, only Fletcher would do that Even though distance and different lives kept us apart, we could always pick up where we left off and found such pleasure in reflecting on our past She was a pleasure to know and call a great friend She will be missed but memories of her will always be with all of us Raine Daufeldt "
