Patriot Jackson Berger age 18, of Ames, Iowa died December 31, 2021, at Unity Point in West Des Moines. A gathering of friends and family will be 4-6:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan 6, at Harvest Vineyard Church, 320 S 17th St, Ames, with a 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, funeral service at Harvest Vineyard Church, 320 S 17th St, Ames. Burial will take place at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in rural Ames.

Patriot Jackson Berger was born July 19, 2003, in Ames, Iowa the son of Travis and Abigail (Cook) Berger. He worked at his grandfather's business, Pete's Truck and Diesel in Ames. Patriot was a loyal and sentimental young man to his people and relished being a jokester. He spent his time in his interest of diesel mechanic work, cooking with family and friends, telling stories about his work and life, listening to country music, playing the fiddle. Patriot was one of 10 children, and the household was always busy often with Patriot contributing.

Patriot will be missed by his parents, Travis and Abigail Berger, siblings, Josiah, Belle, Ida, Jet, Saint, Betty, Iris, Liesl, and Winifred Berger. Paternal grandparents, Peter and Linda Berger, Paternal great grandmother, Eleanor Barton, Maternal grandparents, Kevin and Patricia Cook, all of Ames. Aunt and Uncles, Jody and Larry Wiele of Phoenix, Anna Barton and Garrett Janzen of Ames, Jacob and Bethany Banks, Pasadena, Lauryn Berger of Ames, Logan and Michelle Cook of Olathe, Bryce and Theresa Martens of Ames, and several cousins.
