Wood, Brenda L, Muskegon. Mrs. Brenda Lee Wood age 62 passed away on Sunday January 2, 2022 of stage 4 Lung Cancer at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. She was born in Muskegon on May 5, 1959 to Eugene and Janet (Hamstra) Barney. Brenda Graduated from Orchard View High School in Muskegon in 1977. She was employed at Knoll in Muskegon for 13 years before retirement. Brenda loved spending time with her Grand Children, card making and scrap booking with her sisters. Brenda was a faithful Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan as well as being a member of the Bee Happy Stampers. Most importantly of all Brenda will be remembered as an amazing wife of 41 years, Mother of Three Children and a Grandma 11 Grand Children and Great Grandma or Ama to 11 Great Grand Children. Brenda was a great friend kind soul with a smile and a laugh that touched everyone that knew her. On June 28, 1980 Brenda Married the Love of her Life. Lawrence S. Wood in Muskegon where they spent 41 Wonderful years together. Brenda was preceded in Death by her parents Eugene and Janet (Hamstra) Barney and her Grand Son Seth Wood. She is survived by her Husband Lawrence S. Wood, Son Lawrence L Wood (Shawna Burns) and Daughters Christina Carmichael and Tara Bisacky, 11 Grand Children and 11 Great Grand Children. Brenda is also survived by Her Brother Randy Barney and Her Sisters Jeanne Parker (Kenneth Parker) and Debbie Fekken (Tobi Fekken ) and many Nieces and Nephews. According to her wishes Cremation Services have taken place and a Celebration of Her life is scheduled for February 5th, 2022 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Egelcraft Mobile Home Park Community Building. "I remember Brenda from elementary school at Jolman. A group of us got into trouble with Mr. Close one day because we were throwing snowballs at the gym building. He came out the door with his paddle and gave us all a whack on our fannies. "
