"My heartfelt condolences to Carolyn's son Steve and her entire family. Carolyn & I lived just two doors apart since 1974. She would call and say "Hi Carolyn 240. This is Carolyn 210". Our husband's worked together at IH. The concept of "IH/Navistar Retirees - Canton Group" was formulated around my dining room table by Carolyn, myself and four other ladies in October 2013. She and Jim rang our doorbell several Halloween nights in fantastic costumes. She always smiled and greeted those she met on her daily walks. She will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace 210."

JoEllen (Putrich) and Charlie Albertson wrote on Jan 8, 2022:

"Dear Carolyn?s Family, Please accept our sympathies in the passing of Carolyn. We know that you will all miss her much. May God comfort you all and bless you with happy memories! When I was a pre-teen, Jim and Carolyn came trick or treating to my parents? home with Carolyn dressed and bearded as a man and Jim with makeup, dress, and heals. Their costumes were so good and the fact they kept silent, we truly didn?t know who it was for a long time. They played their parts and gave my family joy that evening to remember with laughter for years to come. I truly have many happy and loving memories of Carolyn, Jim, Steve, and the extended family. As Carolyn expressed in her Christmas card to us this year that she hoped to see us again soon? it will be in Heaven instead and we are happy that she is there because of her love of Jesus. God bless and comfort you all, JoEllen (Putrich) and Charlie Albertson "

"Steve, Colleen, and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Frank and I, and our son Matthew, lived in the house next door to your mother from 2008 to 2020. We loved being her neighbor! She loved her neighborhood and her neighbors well. She always had time for a visit ?across the fence? and loved to pet our little dog, Sadie. As Matt progressed through college, she always asked how he was doing. Of course, she kept an impeccable yard! We teased her that we mowed our yard once for every three times she mowed hers. ;). We live in North Alabama now, but we were in Canton for the holidays, and I had hoped to stop by and visit Carolyn, but then Matthew tested positive for Covid, and we all had to quarantine. I wish I could?ve visited with her once more. Please know your mom was both loved and respected by those who knew her, and we will certainly miss her. Please let us know somehow when her Celebration of Life is scheduled. I am on Facebook and Messenger as ?Lori Willis (Lori Shell-Willis)? in Huntsville, AL. Love, Lori and Frank Willis."
