Mary Meyer
March 10, 1936 - January 11, 2022

Mary Meyer, of Antigo, was received into the arms of Jesus, Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 85 years old. She was born on March 10, 1936, in Antigo, a daughter of Frank and Hattie (Hersant) Petroski. She married Herb Meyer on May 10, 1958, at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.

She was a graduate of Holy Cross Catholic High School in Merrill.

After high school, Mary was employed at Langlade County Hospital until 1956. She then attended Beauty School in Wausau and was employed as a beautician in Antigo at the Princess Beauty Shop for 21 years, five years at the Mode Beauty Shop, and four years at D&M Beauty Shop. In 1979 she returned to Langlade Hospital as a nursing assistant retiring in 2001.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and an Associate of The Religious Hospitalers of St. Joseph.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Joe) Kostyn of Mosinee; two sons, William (Jackie) Meyer of Tomahawk, Don (Rachael) Meyer of Mosinee; six grandchildren Ben (Winter) Kostyn, Corbin (Mikaela) Kostyn, Billie, and Hanna Meyer, Sophie and Sierra Meyer; three great-grandchildren Jackson and Ruby Kostyn, and Molly Kostyn; a brother, John Petroski of St. Paul, MN; a sister-in-law, Donna Petroski.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Sister Raphael Petroski, Sister Florence Petroski, Dorothy (Ken) Barta; a brother, Henry Petroski; three stepsisters, Anna Ridgeman, Theresa Spychalla, Sister Odilia Petroski; a sister-in-law, Jean Petroski.

The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday also at the funeral home.
